The more I think about it, the more I try to think of solutions outside of the box, but I can't stay silent about this issue anymore.
As someone who has a pretty good idea about how strong my different characters should feel; There's a definite "Power-creep" problem when my characters blow past a certain threshold I've set.
Think of my issue when I want to have a homeless frail beggar as a character, he's meant to be a joke that goes down with one hit and never win. But given enough time and completed matches. This frail character eventually becomes capable of one-shotting other characters by complete accident.
Now you might say the solution is to not use the skill points I obtain as I level my character's profile. But the points will always be there, constantly enticing me when I go to edit a profile, and a single press could ruin what I have going for them and need to pay the Chits to remove all the stat points again.
My solutions? Allow users to lock EXP Gains to their current state. Or allow them to only take EXP points away from their profile.

I realize that's what the Unranked and Ranked stats are for. But my point stands, Ranked or not.

Yeah I hear you and completely understand. This was a problem and part of the equation in all previous systems I worked on. And I typically dismissed this as a tradeoff necessary to keep the system working, as there are still a lot of ways you can do what you're talking about:
- Don't spend points
- Use weaker moves
However an exp lock or burning your xp... sounds interesting, as it does not give competitive players any disadvantage, on the contrary, you are making your character weaker, not more powerful. Hmm...
I guess, if you think about it, we have 2 types of characters:
1. Someone who can become a champion, but is in fact weak and can be taken down in a humiliating manner
2. Someone who has to stay a "rookie" forever
The system already support the first type, but not the second. Maybe it's fair. But it would be nice to hear others' opinions about this.

Done. I added an option to lock and burn your stats. Also figured I could as well as an option to drain opponent's stats to moves for some power drain play haha.
